Taco Bell is giving loyal customers all Enchilada.
The fast food franchise has discovered a “early retirement community” for members of Rewards that come complete with crochet, pickles and cocktails on the pool.
Cantinas, located in San Diego, will expect a crowd of Taco Bell’s biggest fans for the two-day experience inspired by the elderly next weekend, August 17-18.
Cantinas is a weekend promotional exercise for the food giant and will not serve as a permanent benefit to Rewards members – but speaks of the increasing popularity of the elderly loved activities.
“More than just a weekend escape, it’s a chance to embrace and promote the slow lifestyle of youth culture, the lifestyle of the elderly,” the company said in a press release. “Wake up early in the morning, get friends for gymnastics, spend time with classes with hooks, arts and crafts and pickles all before going to sleep at 8pm after an early bird dinner. “
Taco Bell Rewards members called to get a coveted place in The Cantinas, with the brand paying $ 150 for a “weekend membership” involving accommodation and eating at night.
Other fast food fanatics spent $ 50 on a daily permit that gives you access to activities.
Rewards members over the age of 21 had the right to enter, with all the available tickets sold in just three minutes.
Taco Bell fans rejoiced at the news, entering a topic on Reddit to discover their emotions before tickets went on sale.
“I’ve gone to Taco Bell on average 9 times a week for about two years now. Very excited to live an hour from this Cantina event, ”one wrote. “Hoping to find a place.”
However, another was sad that the location was far from home.
“I was very happy reading about it until I learned that it would be just one place and it wasn’t in my area,” they said. “Now I’m sad.”
